787 cdu
I have followed the process of setting up the cdu the same way I would when flying the 787-10, unfortunately when setting up the 787-8 the waypoints do not configure the altitude nor speed like the 787-10 does. Don’t get me wrong the aircraft is great but I’m stuck on what else I can do to solve the issue
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-18 22:20:22.288ZI want to recreate the issue you have. I will try to check this out. Maybe my team can recreate it, but your case is a first at the moment. The systems are the same, so being unable to insert altitude and speed on waypoints has me curious. It could be our fault.

I apologise for bugging you guys but I had this problem before the update but I had assumed simbrief would of sorted it out, just to confirm setting up the -8 is the same process as the -10 ?
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-20 15:13:10.451Zyes, setting up the-8 is the same, correct.
Don't be shy to reach out to us.- PP @pablo.11
That’s good to know, I follow the same procedures as in the 10, I do the overhead panel, request simbrief data put in the departure and arrival waypoints but I still have blank waypoints inbetween
SkySIA @SkyRudder2024-06-22 05:16:19.298ZPlease elucidate the phrase “I still have blank waypoints in between”,
I might have a solution.- PP @pablo.11
As in the Sid’s, they have no set altitudes or speeds
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-24 14:15:24.336ZMaybe a FMC tutorial would help? https://bravoairspace.net/notams-/-notams787assistance/flightschool
Maybe that link will help ^_^- In reply topablo.11⬆:
SkySIA @SkyRudder2024-06-26 02:26:45.964ZWhat was your departure ICAO?
I’ll try to have a look to see what exactly you’re facing and find a solution for it if your still looking for one.- PP @pablo.11
EGLL, but this is a recurring issue at every airport
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-26 23:34:30.589Zsame with the 787-10?
- PP @pablo.11
I don’t have this problem with the -10
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-29 00:45:46.055ZInteresting because we don't touch anything else but flaps and weight within the systems. Right @leviathan ?
At this moment I think its a mix of what @SkyRudder says. I don't see why our systems prevents the visibility of the waypoints.
Check out most of the YouTubers operating the BA788 and also me on XBOX S https://www.twitch.tv/bravoairspaceI would like for you to record a clip for us so we can see your steps. I recommend Twitch.

Could I contact you through WhatsApp or messenger and send you a recording through there? my twitch is playing up at the moment

SkySIA @SkyRudder2024-06-27 02:04:14.941ZHi there, I had tested it at EGLL,WMKK and WSSS, as expected the output of the 788 was the exact same as the 78x, follows the same nav data too-WT10407001
For EGLL:
The Procedures used were GOSIG sid runway 27RResults:
No speeds set in the SID, the speed would be automatically set to 250kias
By the plane however there were altitude restrictions till fl060.So I would say this is more of a WT thing than it is a BA787 thing.
