Update 2 Questions/ info - 787-8
What can I expect to see in U2?
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-20 14:59:25.930ZWe have a list but will accomplish those tasks and then post about it.
It's a sensitive transition as it's flight-model and physical model updates.
And testing is mandatory on our part. We can't afford to spend too much time on it, but it's a matter of performing these updates and triple-checking the work.What would you like to see in U2?
@TheMSFSNerdYTFixing the landing gear not touching the ground properly upon touchdown, modeling the food compartments on the back a bit better, less dirt on the wheels so that it is not a dirt, clean, dirt, clean repeat when they are spinning. Maybe add some blackening from the heat of the engines on the bottom of the wings, adding more liveries, tweak the touchdown noise to be a bit louder, add hydraulic noises when starting the engine.
I love the airplane though, would like to become a tester, I sent you guys messages and appreciate the support I am getting their with the airplane.
Vance @AV8OR2024-06-23 00:07:49.505ZHello MSFSNerd, where and who did you send the message to?
@TheMSFSNerdYTI messaged you guys on messenger.

Vance @AV8OR2024-06-23 18:18:35.899ZAnd how long ago was this? Within the past week?
@TheMSFSNerdYTThis was yesterday.
Vance @AV8OR2024-06-23 19:16:43.115ZFrancis is currently on his way back from FS Expo 2024. So give him some time to get back to you.
@TheMSFSNerdYTThat was Francis? I didn’t realize lol. Don’t worry about me with volunteering, I mean I would like to do it but if it’s too difficult for you guys or just don’t want to have people you don’t know doing it I completely understand.
Have a great day Vance and thank you for your time and assistance.
Vance @AV8OR2024-06-23 19:27:04.516ZYep, that was Francis. It's not too difficult, we actually are looking for some more testers at the moment. I need to talk to Francis about some things, as we have a few that asked before you.

Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-24 14:11:46.455ZYou spoke to me. Please let us get back to you but at the moment we are not adding more testers. I'm sorry about that.
@TheMSFSNerdYTTotally fine! Have a great day Francis.

I would like to see a fix in the 787 EFB and flap speed bug indicators, it would truly perfect this plane!
Vance @AV8OR2024-06-21 14:03:42.216ZWill look into this, thank you!

You can it works need to do it in settings first for weight and balance
Yes, I did load the Simbrief plan into the aircraft; however, I could not input the ZFW.
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-06-24 14:07:54.454ZDid you import the weight and balance from Simbrief?
Yes. It was a ferry flight from Melbourne to Sydney. The Simbrief plan had the minimum zero fuel weight of 120,100kg. However, I tried with a variety of weights and it still spat out an "Invalid Entry" error on the FMC.

@TheMSFSNerdYTIs that my list 🤣

Nooooo, don't remove the checklist incomp warning it would ruin the realism
@TheMSFSNerdYTMe and Francis spoke about that it will not be implemented. Payware livery addons will also not be implemented and everything will be free.

Hello, i would like the clock button to have a sound and the chime button too, with the chime cabin sound, cheers.
Btw i would like the new air canada livery and the new united one, i belive that it's gonna make the aircraft look less old
Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-07-05 14:28:47.787ZSounds good to me.
Chime button you have to press twice in a row (I'm not sure why)...
And the clock button has a sound in real life?- BBen Dover @Boeing38
Hello again, yea, what i meant is when you press the clock button, it makes a sound, like when you press space on a keyboard, the own keyboard makes the sound if you know what i mean, also really thanks for the reply, most developers don't even have something like this.
Also i can't enter the ZFW in the efb or in the fmc
@TheMSFSNerdYTGo to settings, weight and balance, and assuming you synced with simbreif, press load weights.

Francis @LeadDeveloper2024-07-06 10:33:12.311ZVisit our Twitch channel, where we post flights and test segments you can view my FMC workflow. You can see that inputting ZFW is fine but the systems have their limitations. For example: A short flight can load less fuel then the systems needs to have. You might get 145.5 and when you punch it in, it doesn't accept it. So if you punch in 150.5 it does accept it.
This, I believe, has to be overwritten by us because it seems it's using the 787-10 limits. The 787 thinks it doesn't have enough fuel to make it to the destination. https://www.twitch.tv/bravoairspace/videos- BBen Dover @Boeing38
Okay thanks i'll try it
