First update and it's details

I've spent a week trying to override ATG over Asobo systems. It's blocked.
**What have I been doing? **
I blocked out all default liveries. Placed freighters on their cargo parking spots.
And after building around five to six builds, It has been impossible to see a change.
What can be done then, is it hopeless?
No, it's not hopeless. Asobo confirmed with us today (May 5) that they are working on the changes that are needed and will advise when its ready so I can upload this solid realistic fix.
What's next?
I'm going to upload a soft fix to give these default aircraft liveries until they get back to us.
I'm unable to override the original Asobo files until I get the systems cloud service updated by them.

🛩️ Here is why default airports are acting like a magnet for your white liveries.

  1. 🚧 The Missing Parking Codes at Default Airports
    🏢 Custom, third-party add-on airports are usually built with specific airline codes assigned to their parking spots (e.g., Gate A1 is strictly hard-coded for DAL or AAL).

❌ Default vanilla airports, especially the auto-generated ones, usually lack these specific airline assignments. They just have generic designations like GATE_SMALL or RAMP. Because there are no airline restrictions on those gates, the sim’s engine assumes any aircraft that physically fits the parking radius is allowed to park there.

  1. 📊 The “Ground Aircraft Density” Culprit
    🚦 Even when you are using Real-Time Online traffic for active flights, MSFS tries to make airports look busy by spawning static, fake parked planes at empty gates.

🎲 Because default airports have no specific airline codes to guide this system, the sim essentially reaches into your Community folder, blindly grabs a handful of installed aircraft models, and scatters them across the empty gates. If your Sunrise Airways A320 is in the pool, it will be randomly pulled to fill a gate in Frankfurt simply because it fits the parking spot.*

🚀 Regarding the Next Update for ATG
I’ve been working on removing the white liveries. I’ve been 60% successful because each aircraft variant has its real-world destinations input to its data files. And so this was done to block the wrong airlines from spawning at the wrong airports. But my guess is that this was done maybe for AI offline traffic. Unfortunately, I don’t know at the moment. YET this has only worked with 3rd-party airports.

🤔 What else?
I have also been trying many factual steps that I can pull. I’ve been at it for 5 days. This will need more research and more help from the Asobo team. But I will roll out the update tomorrow, Monday, May 4 2026. I think it will be released on the same week. But I have to make more tests before I push green.

🔧 The Game Insides:
The architecture for the traffic models is a mix of stubbornness, as it’s not letting us seal the deal completely. When I place the country of origin for the white liveries, they lightly return. Yet (knock on wood), not so many unrealistic liveries have returned (mainly in vanilla airports). And so it’s best to keep updating and keep fighting it. **This is mainly happening in default airports and not 3rd party ones.

🆕 SU5 Update:
I’ve noticed that Asobo increased the LOD’s on the air traffic models in order to help those on console. The performance in large airports with full traffic On is great.

✈️ Freighters
One of the most important things to do is to get the freighters and small planes to park at RAMPS and CARGO spaces. This is in investigation.

🏗️ 3rd Party Airports
3rd party airports have better parking and air traffic visibility than the default ones. This is proven when I enable Inibuilds KJFK versus the default. Parking spots seem to be playing a great role. The same goes for LVFR KMIA, Flightbeam KSFO, and such. There seems to be a contrast. So far the airport parking is a problem with Vanilla Airport. 3rd party airports have the correct setup for this package. And so most people who reach out is because they have default airports.

🎯 My Focus
I’ve been primarily focused on console, as PC already gives great coverage.
I wonder if Microsoft is okay with doing an experimental ULTRA setting for traffic-related options? Maybe some of you can help promote this at your forum.

Update When?
First update is coming this week. On the week of April 3rd.

🗣️ What Do I Need from the Users?
To use the add-on only with real-world traffic. It doesn’t yet work properly with offline AI. Also, please do understand not to abuse the injection by traveling to too many airports in one game session. But if you do, try to toggle the traffic, but I recommend a brand new session. Make flights and enjoy. Email us or post here your findings. Tell me about which airport you are having constant fictional liveries.
