I have just bought the -8 and quite like it. There are still two things I cant get my head around (both seem to be present in the GE-Model, not the RR):
- When looking in the FMC's Weight Section the maximum Pax setting is 703 which seems incredible high for -8. In the RR-Model this is 237, i think.
- The N1 behaviour seems off. While idlying N1 sits at 6% which seems really low (compared to other planes that i know of at least). In addition, the thrust reverse will also only deploy until 22-23%. I've looked at videos of youtubers, flying the -8 GE-Model and this seems to be present for some though not all of the videos.
Is this to be expected or will this be fixed in a future update?

I didn't have anyone tell me about this. I'm thinking of rolling out a quick patch.
Regarding the N1 behavior and reserve thrust, I will have to compare it to our previous versions to see where we went wrong. But I think I can patch this ASAP and release it by next week.
In reply tomarlonfe⬆:@HoLeeKaoWow, to be honest, I never paid attention to it also but when I saw this post I looked back my streams and noticed that indeed the reverse trust doesn't go further then about 20 instead of 70.
I googles it and they told me it was in the hardware settings but looking back a pmdg flight I saw that in the pmdg 600 it does go to 70 so stupid google AI was wrong.Happy that you pointed it out and also happy its going to be fixed :)
