Questions about weight and thrust issue

I have just bought the -8 and quite like it. There are still two things I cant get my head around (both seem to be present in the GE-Model, not the RR):

    1. When looking in the FMC's Weight Section the maximum Pax setting is 703 which seems incredible high for -8. In the RR-Model this is 237, i think.
    2. The N1 behaviour seems off. While idlying N1 sits at 6% which seems really low (compared to other planes that i know of at least). In addition, the thrust reverse will also only deploy until 22-23%. I've looked at videos of youtubers, flying the -8 GE-Model and this seems to be present for some though not all of the videos.

Is this to be expected or will this be fixed in a future update?

    1. Hi thank you for showing me this.

I didn't have anyone tell me about this. I'm thinking of rolling out a quick patch.

Regarding the N1 behavior and reserve thrust, I will have to compare it to our previous versions to see where we went wrong. But I think I can patch this ASAP and release it by next week.

Wow, to be honest, I never paid attention to it also but when I saw this post I looked back my streams and noticed that indeed the reverse trust doesn't go further then about 20 instead of 70.
I googles it and they told me it was in the hardware settings but looking back a pmdg flight I saw that in the pmdg 600 it does go to 70 so stupid google AI was wrong.

Happy that you pointed it out and also happy its going to be fixed :)

I'm going to upload a fix by tomorrow.
But the N1 speeds will need more time for me to review.

I did discover that the GE version has this issue and the RR is okay but will check it before shipping.
