787-8 throttles stuck at idle in MSFS 2024 – same issue in required 787-10 v1, while v2 works normally
Hello,
I am experiencing a throttle problem with the BravoAirspace 787-8 in MSFS 2024. I have now completed several troubleshooting tests and narrowed the issue down considerably.
My setup
MSFS 2024, currently on SU5
PC
BravoAirspace Boeing 787-8
Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Throttle Quadrant
BravoAirspace 787 is enabled as streamed content
The required legacy MSFS 2020 ASOBO-AIRCRAFT-B787-10 / 787-10 v1 is enabled
PC specifications: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB, 64 GB DDR5-6000 RAM, ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus motherboard, Windows 11
Other aircraft work normally with the same TCA throttle quadrant and assignments
All assignments have been double checked for duplicate assignments, none are present.
Problem
The thrust levers remain stuck at idle.
When moving the physical TCA throttles:
With one inversion setting, nothing happens.
With the opposite inversion setting, the thrust levers still remain at idle, but the spoilers extend. This appears to indicate that the aircraft may be interpreting the axis as reverse thrust.
The engines remain at idle and the cockpit thrust levers do not move.
The cockpit thrust levers also cannot be moved with the mouse.
Troubleshooting performed
Tested the standard assignments:
Throttle 1 Axis
Throttle 2 Axis
Tested the alternative assignments:
Throttle 1 Axis (0–100%)
Throttle 2 Axis (0–100%)
Tested both inverted and non-inverted axis settings.
Verified that the TCA axes respond correctly in the MSFS controls screen.
Confirmed that the same TCA profile works normally in all my other aircraft.
Changed the Cockpit Interaction System from Legacy to Lock. This made no difference.
Tested moving the BravoAirspace thrust levers directly with the mouse. They remained stuck and could not be moved.
Loaded the required legacy Asobo 787-10 v1 and tested it separately. It has exactly the same problem:
TCA throttles do not move the thrust levers.
The cockpit thrust levers cannot be moved with the mouse.
Temporarily tested the native MSFS 2024 787-10 v2 using the same hardware and controller configuration. The v2 thrust levers work normally with both the TCA quadrant and the mouse.
Test results
Other aircraft: working normally
Native 787-10 v2 (2024): working normally
Legacy 787-10 v1(2020): throttles stuck
BravoAirspace 787-8: throttles stuck
Legacy and Lock cockpit interaction modes: no difference
Normal and 0–100% throttle assignments: no solution
Axis inversion: no solution; one direction appears to trigger reverse/spoiler logic
This seems to indicate that the problem is associated with the legacy Asobo 787-10 v1 in MSFS 2024. Because the BravoAirspace 787-8 depends on that aircraft’s cockpit/systems, it inherits the same throttle failure.
The BravoAirspace aircraft must remain streamed on my system. If I download it locally, its external textures do not load correctly and appear as pink squares. Therefore, downloading the aircraft is not a usable workaround.
Can you please advise whether this is a known compatibility issue with the legacy 787-10 v1 under SU5, and whether there is a workaround? Are there any specific packages, controller profiles, assistance settings or add-ons known to cause the legacy v1 throttles to become completely locked, including mouse interaction?
Thank you.

I can confirm this issue, for me it happens on the 787-8 with the RR engine. The 788 GE, 789 and 78X worked fine for me.
All thee models installed, worked fine before SU6.

I want to recreate this but I do not have the peripherals at hand.
But I will try to think how to troubleshoot this. I've heard many complains about this. I need to find the issue.
